My loveliest memory with Christine was when I visited her in Prum, Germany at Christmas time, it must have been 1970. We walked from her apartment down a hill decked with snow covered trees and into the town, where there was a small church. The tree inside was decorated with straw ornaments and there were candles lit in the church.
It was a lovely time for both of us and I have never forgotten it.

Wishing you well in your recovery, Nancy and hopes that the upcoming procedures provide the relief you need. Sending love, Ashley
I plan to live in the house we bought a year ago for the foreseeable future.Hope all goes well with your procedures.
Thank you. Have two additional procedures scheduled.
How are you doing? Will you remain where you are or move near one of your children?
I hope all goes well. I'll be thinking of you.
Thank you, Den. I return soon for my second Medial Branch Block, first one worked only partly. Then, later, I am supposed to return for an ablation.

I'm so sorry to hear about the back problem. I know how painful that can be (I had L-4 and L-5 fused back in 1995). The good news is that it healed well and has lasted 25 years. Wishing you well and complete recovery. Den
Thank you, Den. I had forgotten the drive in the snow, must have been quite scary! Thank you for being the chauffeur!
Sorry I could not be there for the the remembrance ceremony. Due to back issues after a bad fall over 6 months ago, I have been mostly doing very little and had surgery, maybe 3 weeks ago.
Sincerely,
Nancy
And then there was the drive to the airport in Frankfurt the day you left. 3:00 am and a thick blanket of untouched snow covering the road. To this day I wonder how we made it safely. Thank you for all your memories, your friend for over 60 years. Den
Dear Ashley,
So glad you enjoyed my musings on our winter walk in Prum.
Nancy
Oh what a lovely memory. So vivid. Never got to go to/see Prum but I can picture this scene quite easily and serenely. Mom LOVED Germany so so much. She would love this "walk" down memory lane. thanks Nancy.
