While yes this is a picture of my wedding, I, unfortunately, do not have a picture of one of my fondest memories. Game night with the Widmans! However, these are the people that make game night come to life! Whether it is Zoo, Blink/Murder, or the Chocolate Game, I relish the many game nights over the years. It draws laughter to tears and hours of joy. I love all of you Widman clan. I love you Christine.

When I picture a setting with Christine it is 1. outside on a picnic or 2. huddled up with my mom in deep discussion. This is how I remember these two the most. A long-standing and magical friendship.

Three generations of a beautiful family.

No visit to a Widman is ever complete without a family picnic. Denny will pull out an artisan assortment of sandwich options and Christine would always have cookies or perhaps a brownie treat. Could life be any sweeter?

The great thing about having two moms is having two wonderful women to share your life's biggest moments. Christine had an honored place at my wedding, came to witness the birth of Elden (but alas he was late!!), and pictured here in Bellingham as I went off to college. Full circle her grandson Noah now goes to the same college. 💕

Looking through my old photo albums I discovered almost every picture I have of Christine was taken outside in a beautiful setting such as this one. Christine was a natural beauty, flowing with ease and elegance. One of her greatest gifts to me was sharing her love of nature, animals, birds, the desert, the sunrises, and the sunsets. Every beautiful sunrise I think of Christine. I think of her, Denny, and allow the sunrise to fill me with a feeling of contentment and peace.

There was never a moment in my life that didn't have Christine. Therefrom the beginning, she was our 2nd mom. I loved (and still love) the way our families so easily intertwine.
